  • What Should I Tell My Doctor Before Getting ProYellow?

Before getting Pro Yellow Laser Treatment, it’s important to tell your doctor about any medical conditions and medications you’re taking. This treatment uses a laser to target and destroy the bacteria that cause acne. It can be used on the face, chest, back, or other areas affected by acne. The treatment is safe and effective, but it’s essential to make sure that your doctor is aware of any potential risks. After your doctor has evaluated your case, they can determine if Pro Yellow Laser Treatment is the right option for you.

  • What Should I Do Before My ProYellow Treatment?
    • Generally, little or no pre-treatment is required with the Pro Yellow 577nm. The provider may advise you to avoid tanning the treatment area for two weeks before treatment.
    • Your provider may recommend treatment to prepare you for laser therapy. Sometimes, a mild bleaching agent is prescribed to lighten the areas that will be treated.
  • What Should I Do After My ProYellow Treatment?
    • The area treated with the laser may be red afterward. This will generally fade within 24-48 hours. Some vascular treatments, such as leg veins, may cause a darkened appearance of the vessels for 7-10 days.
    • The treated area can be washed typically with mild soap and water. Wash the area gently with your fingertips. The use of a washcloth or other abrasive instrument is not recommended.
    • Avoid sun exposure to the treated area for the next 3-4 weeks. Use of sunscreen containing an SPF of 30 or higher is recommended.
    • Avoid irritants such as products containing glycolic acid or Retin-A for 5-7 days.
    • Minor crusting or scabbing of the treated area can occur. Do not rub or pick the scab. After washing the fingertips with gentle soap, apply an antibacterial ointment to the treated area.
    • Pigmented lesions may turn gray or dark after treatment. As the skin heals, in 7-14 days, the spot will slough off. Do not rub or pick the lesion. The antibacterial or moisturizing ointment may be applied to the area as desired.
