Rest Easy With Restylane

We offer facial injection products from the Restylane family, which safely and effectively add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Variations in their product offering– Restylane-L or Restylane® Silk – can also add fullness and definition to lips, providing natural-looking results with just a single treatment.

Heed The Signs and Seek Treatment

How do you know if you need treatment? Typically, the lips and the lines around the mouth, like other areas of the face, show signs of aging as you age. Symptoms such as lip thinning, lost shape, and an increase in vertical lines above the lip indicate that treatment may be necessary to restore a more youthful appearance. Our medical staff uses Restylane Silk, which is explicitly designed to provide natural-looking results in these areas.

“I recently had an Xeomin treatment at the LA location with the injector Anni. Anni took her time and listened to my concerns about not wanting to be too “frozen” and even the possibility of improving the balance of my eyebrows. I am thrilled with the natural result and how well she delivered the improvement I was hoping for. The clinic is beautiful and the staff is top-notch.”

A Non-Surgical Face-Lift

Over time, the natural fat surrounding the cheeks deteriorates, resulting in sagging skin, more prominent wrinkles, and a reduced volume. The Restylane Lyft treatment package is specifically designed to add fullness to the cheeks and midface area, which can result in a more natural-looking, youthful appearance.

How Does it Work?

The beauty of Restylane is in its ability to produce results immediately. It does this by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles with a clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, specifically formulated to act like your body’s own hyaluronic acid. Results of treatment include:

  • Smoothing out laugh lines
  • A more youthful, relaxed look
  • Add volume and fullness.
  • Enhance shallow contours
  • Soften facial creases and wrinkles
  • Improve the appearance of scars
  • Reduce early signs of aging

Restylane FAQs

  • What is Restylane?

Restylane is a line of hyaluronic acid-based facial fillers that help smooth wrinkles and plump your cheeks. An ingredient that occurs naturally in our skin, especially around joints like elbows or knees! The FDA approved it back when they were looking for something effective at making you look less old—and now we have solutions suitable for every stage from young to mature; no matter how old you are, there’s always time (or wrinkle-free days) left on the clock!!

  • Which is better Restylane or Juvéderm?

Restylane and Juvéderm are two different types of fillers that have smooth textures. The granular Restylane is better for treating fine lines in tight facial areas. At the same time, the smoother consistency of Juvéderm makes it ideal for addressing broader wrinkles on more loose parts, such as around one’s eyes or mouth area if they’re not too deep into dermal backup creases (these will show through naturally).

  • What is Restylane used for?

Restylane® is a popular option for those seeking to add volume and fullness to their skin, such as fixing moderate-severe facial wrinkles or correcting nasolabial folds. Restyled patients may also benefit from lip enhancement procedures that have been proven effective at any age over 21!

  • How long do Restylane products last?

With complete treatment, you can see lasting results for up to 18 months in nasolabial folds with Restylane, up to 12 months in the cheeks, up to 6 months in the back of the hands, and up to 6 months in facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds, with Restylane Lyft; 6 months for lips and perioral rhytids with Restylane Silk; and up to 12 months in the facial wrinkles and folds (such as nasolabial folds and marionette lines) with Restylane Refyne and Restylane Defyne.

  • Who should not use Restylane?

The Restylane family of products should not be used by people who:

    • Are you pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 22 years of age
    • Have recently used drugs that thin the blood or prevent clotting
    • Have had previous bad allergies, particularly to microorganisms known as gram-positive bacteria
    • Have severe allergies to drugs that have previously required in-hospital treatment
    • Have bleeding disorders
    • Have a known allergy to lidocaine if using Restylane SilkRestylane LyftRestylaneRestylane Refyne, or Restylane Defyne
  • What should I tell my doctor before getting Restylane?

Do not use if you have severe allergies with a history of severe reactions (anaphylaxis), are allergic to lidocaine or gram-positive bacterial proteins used to make hyaluronic acid, are prone to bleeding, or have a bleeding disorder—the safety of use. At the same time, pregnant or breastfeeding has not been studied.

    • Tell your doctor if you have a history of scarring or pigmentation disorders, as these side effects can occur with hyaluronic acid fillers.
    • Tell your doctor if you are planning other cosmetic treatments (i.e., lasers and chemical peels), as there is a possible risk of inflammation at the injection site.
    • Tell your doctor if you’re taking medications that lower your body’s immune response or affect bleeding, such as aspirin or warfarin, as these medications may increase the risk of bruising or bleeding at the gel injection site. Using these products on gel injection sites with skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infections should be postponed until healing is complete.‍
  • What should I do before getting Restylane?
    • DO NOT consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours before treatment (alcohol may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising)
    • Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood-thinning medications for two weeks before treatment. Medications and supplements such as aspirin, vitamin E, ginkgo Biloba, ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, and other NSAIDS have a blood-thinning effect. They can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
    • Schedule your Restylane appointment at least two weeks before a special event you may be attending, such as a wedding or a vacation. Bruising and swelling may be apparent in that period.
    • Discontinue Retin-A 2 days before and two days after treatment. Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold, sore, or blemish in the area.
    • Before your procedure, ensure a good breakfast, including food and drink. This will decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment.
    • You are not a candidate if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Is Restylane FDA Approved?

Yes! Restylane® Silk is the first and only FDA-approved product designed for lip enhancement and smoothing wrinkles around the mouth in patients 21 years and older. The FDA now approves Restylane® Lyft for cheek augmentation and for correcting age-related midface contour deficiencies in patients over 21. This also treats moderate-to-severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds (smile lines).

Conditions Restylane Treats

Restylane smooths away wrinkles and fine lines, plumps lips, and provides natural-looking volume to the skin. As you age, your skin loses elasticity and the ability to retain moisture. This results in less support for the underlying collagen and elastin fibers that give your skin its shape and firmness. The result is facial wrinkles and folds, like smile lines. Restylane can be used to treat smile lines, corners of the mouth, lips, and marionette lines. The Restylane family of products includes Restylane, Restylane-L, Restylane Silk, Restylane Lyft, and Restylane Refyne. Each product in the Restylane line is specifically designed to treat different wrinkles and folds. Talk to your doctor about which product is right for you. Whether you want to treat smile lines or plump your lips, a Restylane product can help achieve your desired look.

Areas Restylane Treats

Restylane is a versatile dermal filler that can be used to treat a variety of concerns. Smile lines, also known as nasolabial folds, are the lines that run from the corners of the mouth to the nose. Restylane can fill in these lines and create a more youthful appearance. The corners of the mouth often droop with age, and Restylane can lift them back into place. Lips often lose volume as we age, and Restylane can be used to plump them up. Marionette lines are the lines that run from the corners of the mouth down to the chin. Restylane can help to smooth these lines and create a more refreshed appearance.
