How many Lumecca Treatments Do I Need?

Lumecca can eliminate these skin conditions in just 1 to 3 sessions. They include age spots, vascular lesions like facial or telangiectasias (spider veins), and poikiloderma.

Is Lumecca Permanent?

A recent study found that Lumecca IPL treatment can rejuvenate your skin and address various correct concerns, including sun damage. However, this does not slow the aging process or prevent future wrinkles from occurring - so don't expect any miracles!

Who Should Not Use Lumecca IPL?

Pacemaker, internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant anywhere in the body. The Applicator should be used at least 1cm away from cochlear implants in the ear.
Permanent implant in the treated area, such as metal plate screws and metal piercing, silicone implants, or an injected chemical substance, unless deep enough in the periosteal plane. When treating dental metal implants, it is possible to create a barrier by condensing cotton rolls or gauze and treating it.
Intra-dermal or superficial sub-dermal areas were injected with HA/collagen/fat injections or other augmentation methods with bio-material during the last six months.
Current or history of skin cancer, present condition of any other type, or premalignant moles.
Severe concurrent conditions include cardiac disorders, sensory disturbances, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, and liver or kidney diseases.
Pregnancy and nursing.
I have an impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV, autoimmune disorders, or the use of immunosuppressive medications.
Patients with a history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area, may be treated only following a prophylactic regimen.
Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, and hormonal virilization.
Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, and rash.
History of skin disorders, keloids, abnormal wound healing, and dehydrated and fragile skin.
History of bleeding coagulopathies or use of anticoagulants in the last ten days as per the practitioner's discretion.
Facial dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, and deep chemical peeling within the last three months before treatment.
I have received treatment with light, laser, RF, or other devices in the treated area within three months or before complete healing.
Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last six months or before complete healing.
Use of Isotretinoin (Accutane®) within six months before treatment.
As per the practitioner's discretion, refrain from treating any condition that might make it unsafe for the patient.

First, tanning should be avoided for 3-4 weeks before the treatment. This will help to prevent any potential side effects from the treatment. Additionally, use SPF 30+ sunscreen during this time to protect your skin from further damage. Finally, refrain from using self-tanning lotion or spray tan for four weeks before the treatment. This will ensure that the treatment is effective and safe. By following these simple steps, you can enjoy beautiful, healthy skin that you can be proud of.

What Should I Do After My Lumecca IPL Treatment?

Immediately following your Lumecca IPL treatment, you need to apply an ice pack to the area for 10 to 15 minutes every hour for the first three hours. It would be best to sleep with an extra pillow under your head during the night of your treatment to help prevent swelling. In the days following your treatment, you should avoid direct sun exposure and wear SPF 30 or higher sunscreen outdoors. You may also experience some skin dryness, redness, and peeling. These are typical side effects and will resolve within a week or two. To help speed the healing process, you can use gentle cleansers, moisturizers, and sunscreens.
