Charmaine BadeRegistered Nurse, BSN, MSN
Charmaine’s professional background began as an RN in 2002. She first worked in acute care telemetry at UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital for 4 years and did registry shifts at Cedars Sinai Hospital. She then spent 5 years as a staff manager for a nurse registry in hand with a part-time position as field supervisor for home health. Her introduction to cosmetics began with 3 years of experience as a circulating and pre/post-op nurse in plastic surgery. In early 2009, she came across an ad for Botox in a nursing journal; within a few months she earned a certificate at the Medical Aesthetic Training of California. Since then she discovered non-invasive aesthetics to be her niche in nursing.
Performing cosmetic treatments and procedures the last 7 years, including her time at BHRC since 2011, has enriched her personal and educational growth. She learnt that beauty is a natural part of feeling confident and strong, an important element of integrated wellness. She is aware that people are paying for a skill more so than they are a syringe of filler, neurotoxin, or procedure and therefore values life-long continuing education. What resonates heavily with Charmaine are the working relationships she has developed with her patients and is interested in how she can achieve optimal outcomes with holistic and realistic considerations. She is committed to delivering artistic excellence in anti-aging wellness and aesthetics, within a safe and ethical framework.
She is a native of Montréal, Québec but for now enjoys the warmth of LA. For leisure her interests are theatre, music, food, culture, travel, hockey, sunrises and the spa. One of her professional desires after obtaining her NP is to at some point become involved with Médecins Sans Frontières. She earned summa cum laude for both BSN and MSN studies, and looks forward to completing her Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of Adult-Gerontology Primary Care in Autumn 2016.
