How Long Does BodyFX Last?

Fat and cellulite will be reduced after the first treatment, but skin tightening effects take longer. By six months into your routine of treatments, you should notice that your skin has become smoother with fewer wrinkles.

Is BodyFX better than CoolSculpting?

How many treatments of BodyFX are required?

It is recommended that weekly sessions are performed over 6-12 treatments to achieve desired results.

How quickly will I see results with BodyFX?

Results are seen after the first treatment for fat and cellulite, while skin tightening effects take longer and peak at 6-12 months. Gradual improvements in the treatment area can be seen following the first few treatments, with the skin surface feeling smoother and softer immediately.

How safe is BodyFX?

A series of RF energy is delivered by a succession of pulses at 1 million cycles per second. While this may sound intense, it is very safe. To maximize comfort, the body's temperature is constantly monitored, with ongoing accurate skin temperature feedback; this thermal monitoring provides the utmost temperature control.

Who should not use InMode BodyFX?

Contraindications for InMode BodyFX treatments include:

Pacemaker, internal defibrillator, or any other active electrical implant anywhere in the body. The Applicator should be used at least 1cm away from cochlear implants in the ear.
Permanent implant in the treated area, such as metal plate screws and metal piercing, silicone implants, or an injected chemical substance, unless deep enough in the periosteal plane. When treating dental metal implants, it is possible to create a barrier by condensing cotton rolls or gauze and treating over it.
Intra-dermal or superficial sub-dermal areas that have been injected with HA/collagen/fat injections or other augmentation methods with bio-material during the last six months.
Current or history of skin cancer, condition of any other type of cancer, or premalignant moles.
Severe concurrent conditions include cardiac disorders, sensory disturbances, epilepsy, uncontrolled hypertension, and liver or kidney diseases.
Pregnancy and nursing.
Impaired immune system due to immunosuppressive diseases such as AIDS and HIV, autoimmune disorders, or use of immunosuppressive medications.

Patients with a history of diseases stimulated by heat, such as recurrent Herpes Simplex in the treatment area, may be treated only following a prophylactic regimen.
Poorly controlled endocrine disorders, such as diabetes, thyroid dysfunction, and hormonal virilization.
Any active condition in the treatment area, such as sores, psoriasis, eczema, and rash.
History of skin disorders, keloids, abnormal wound healing, and very dry and fragile skin.
History of bleeding coagulopathies or use of anticoagulants in the last ten days as per the practitioner's discretion.
Facial dermabrasion, laser resurfacing, and deep chemical peeling within the last three months before treatment.
Having received treatment with light, laser, RF, or other devices in the treated area within three months or before complete healing.
Any surgical procedure in the treatment area within the last six months or before complete healing.
Use of Isotretinoin (Accutane®) within six months before treatment.
As per the practitioner's discretion, refrain from treating any condition that might make it unsafe for the patient

What can I expect during my InMode BodyFX treatment?

Body FX uses a combination of different clinically proven modalities, including radio-frequency energy, deep tissue heating, and suction-coupled negative pressure. The radio-frequency energy distributes heat into targeted tissue and underlying fat, causing the tissues to heat and contract. Once the target tissue reaches temperature, a second energy pulse is delivered, responsible for killing the fat cell. The treatment area is 6 x 6 inches with 10 minutes of continuous energy consistently maintaining a certain temperature that fat cells. The heating effect stimulates collagen, which helps to tighten skin, while the secondary pulse improves cellulite appearance and targets localized fat deposits. The vacuum and controlled energy pulses work synergistically to provide beautiful body contouring results and a percent fat reduction in each treatment.

What should I do before my InMode BodyFX?

We recommend the following steps be taken before your InMode BodyFX treatment at Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center:

One Week Before Treatment

Stop taking NSAID medicines such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, and Naproxen since they interfere with normal blood clotting. Check medication labels for the active ingredient.
You may take Acetaminophen (Tylenol) as needed for pain, not to exceed 3000 mg a day.

Three Days Before Treatment

Discontinue any irritant-type topical products or treatments
These include products such as alpha-hydroxy acids, beta-hydroxy acids, retinol (vitamin A), vitamin C (in a low pH formula), scrubs, or anything perceived as 'active' skincare.
Treatments such as microdermabrasion and laser
No prolonged sun exposure to the area being treated
A treatment will not be administered on sunburned skin

Day of Treatment

Shower as usual
Do not apply any lotion, powder, oils, or other products to treatment areas
If your face/neck is being treated - cleanse your face/neck and do not apply makeup; if you have long hair, bring a hair band to pull it back

What should I do after my InMode BodyFX?

After receiving your InMode BodyFX treatment at Beverly Hills Rejuvenation Center, we recommend the following:

CLEAN – Use a soothing cleanser or face wash with lukewarm water to cleanse the face and gently pat dry the treated skin until it heals. Always make sure that your hands are clean when touching the treated area.
HYDRATE – Use a gentle moisturizer or healing ointment on the treatment area until the skin heals.
MAKEUP – Can be applied two days after the treatment. Clean makeup brushes before use.
PROTECT – At 24 hours after the procedure, you should apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen with an SPF30 AT ALL TIMES when outside. Use a physical sunscreen (Zinc/Titanium Dioxide) daily. Do not use chemical sunscreens (oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, and octinoxate). Reapply often→In addition to reducing your future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow aging.
